Earlier we have written about Jaxtr though which you can make free calls to Australia and Jamaica etc.  Today let me tell you about the other part of it. It is also a social communications company that offering various services like global calling, SMS & social networking services to its users worldwide and is run by a co-founder of Linkedin. Jaxtr uses VOIP with attractive rates for calling internationally as well as providing free services.

Jaxtr offers its registered uses to have a voice mail and a widget where users can include personal website or social networking services as MySpace or Facebook. Jartr can save upto 98% of the traditional phone bill. You can receive international calls from 51 countries of the world using jaxtr. You can also integrates Other Popular IM like GMail, Hotmail, AOL for inviting friends to the jaxtr service.

Through widget, visitors or guests can got to the page for sending e-mail text or call. For making call, Jaxtr asks the users the phone number and show a national fixed number users must make to establish the call.

Sign up jaxtr by visiting the sites for free and get a jaxtr account. It requires name, email address, screen name, password, age etc. After filling up you can add friends from your email addresses. You can send emailed invitation with a link using the screen name. Jaxtr offers you to personalize the settings. Users can add or remove numbers either mobile or landline, send forwarded calls. Privacy Shield control can be established to accept calls from anyone or only from approved callers. When users begin to receive calls they can customize privacy controls for each individual contact.

Jaxtr provides points to the users to spend on calls. The calls are received on mobile prices. The points are renewed monthly basis and you can achieve more points by inviting more friends to use jaxtr. Local call from a fixed to another fixed number of the Mobile contact is for free. Here no Jax points are deducted where the cost is the call between two fixed where the operators charge only.

Jaxtr provide users Direct Inward Dialing that allows them to dial a local number which is eventually routed through the jaxtr’s VoIP system and enables with the user to call internationally.

Currently jaxtr is not offering way to buy Jaxtr credits directly from the web site through invitation credit grows. So right now the only way to increase credit is to invite more friends to this service Jaxtr is now working on building some kind of system to allow direct purchase.
